He was put in charge of the baggage train functions and staff.
>>> Demise of Original Gallants Story: The story (spread by agents of Baron Wheglin) was that the Gallants fought off some great evil at Braddon Bog, pursued it to the town of Dirte Diaphor in West Riven Run, and there in a great battle killed the mercenary band known as the Bloody Spikes and drove the evil power away – at the cost of their own lives. The few remaining followers gathered up a few stragglers ion their way back to their employer and were reformed under Baron Wheglin’s blessing (its well known that the new group is not simply mercenaries any more). Its rumored that the Baron gave criminals and debtors a chance to redeem themselves and that that element makes up most of their numbers.
> During this process “Seconds” organized the Gallants, and kept them together as they limped out of West River Run. His unique ability to see spirits guided the Gallants through the strange spirits freed by the demon’s passing and was a key factor in them getting out without losing their minds. He has never really let on to anyone that he can sometimes see the aura’s or spirits.
(interaction as Wheglin’s Irregular)
>>> End Story: The story well-told (by the Baron’s agents) of the original Wheglin’s Irregulars was that they were pensioned out, after becoming too well known, and left the area to go north with the remainders of the Green River Brigade under their banner.
He was picked up by Gides Gallants south of Braddon Bog. Starving and having nothing, he pledged his life for 10 years in exchange for them taking him in. In that time, he has seen miraculous things as the person in charge of logistics for The Gallants. Originally he was only interested in the baggage train – his time with the merchant informed him how to run it and The Gallants needed someone with experience to run theirs. He thought he would eventually leave after 10 year, not having risked a lot. He had all but given up hope of The Gallants proving themselves a worthy force for good, but in 9164, after witnessing their defense of Hawk’s Blood Inn in Richfield and seeing the sacrifice made, he decided to take a more active roll.
Terril was the son born of folk of the Pine tribes, though his parents were killed and he was adopted by missionary of Umbak. He grew up a believer in the ways of the Lightbringers, but just as he was to enter his journey to faith he was part of a crew at sea, off the north shore of Umbak, that was attacked by Gwinnish privateers. The ultimate failure of his mentor and the soldiers was enough to deter him from his journey of faith. We was picked up by a boat heading to Loamwold and took service to merchant traveling to county Faer. He made his way into Bar-Innis as a merchant guard.
